A Return Home
"A Return Home"(2007, 31 min.) US
Director: Ramona D. Emerson (Navajo)
Producer: Ramona D. Emerson, Kelly Byars (Choctaw)

The filmmaker explores the experience of her mother, B. Emerson Kitsman, a contemporary painter who has returned to her childhood home in the Navajo Nation. As work on a monumental-sized painting progresses, Kitsman also adjusts to life on her reservation. The documentary asks questions about what it means to come home and what it means to be a Native artist today.
